Keukenhof will be opening its doors again from Thursday the 24th of March 2022 to Sunday the 15th of May 2020 and is open daily from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm. The theme of Keukenhof 2022 is Flower Classics. Flowers have been part of life for centuries. The classic flowers such as the tulip and the rose are central to this theme. The tulip represents the beginning of spring and the rose stands for love. All inspirational gardens, events and artworks are adapted to the theme. About Keukenhof 2022
Keukenhof in Lisse is the most famous and largest flower show in the world. In 2022, more than 7 million flower bulbs have been planted on this estate, including 800 different tulip species. No less than 100 bulb growers send in their bulbs and 500 bulb growers participate in the various flower shows. In April and May, the tulips, one of the Netherlands' largest export products, are in full bloom again. With its beautiful display of flower bulbs, flowers and plants, Keukenhof is the perfect stage to present the Netherlands and its affinity with the floriculture sector. Despite the focus on flower bulbs, you will also find beautiful trees, shrubs, plants and flower arrangements in Keukenhof. The different gardens with their different styles are absolutely beautiful. In Keukenhof 2022 you will find various inspirational gardens with different themes. For example, there is the Reconnection garden, where sustainable materials and 'back to nature' are the core values. The Cottage garden is a forest garden with beautiful wild plants and flower bulbs in creative combinations and the most romantic inspiration garden is the Red Romance garden.
Flower shows 2022
From March to May, various flower shows take place in various pavilions in the Keukenhof. For example, in March you have the tulips and hyacinth show. In April the roses, daffodils and alstroemeria show and in May the lisianthus, the Chrysanthemums and callas show. In addition to the time-bound flower shows, there are also shows that can be seen throughout the period.
Art in Keukenhof
In addition to the beautiful flowers and gardens that you can visit in the Keukenhof, you will also find a lot of art in Keukenhof. Various sculptures and other art objects are scattered throughout the area. Keukenhof has a collaboration with the Kröller-Müller Museum and 25 other artists. The combination of the beautiful blooming flowers and visual art will be very surprising.
